Workshop Wikis

One of the activities we conducted in our workshop was to have teachers who attended the workshop from the same school use a wiki to plan an integrated curriculum project. Our results were mixed, because I touted the benefits of using wikis and blogs for student projects, and most agreed they would rather use them for those types of projects than for planning materials. Otherwise, if we wanted them to be documenting their process on a wiki, we could use a shared wiki with a page for each group. Well, you know what they say about hindsight.

That being said, it was still a functional exercise in that it walked the participants through the process of setting up and editing a wiki (here on PBWiki, naturally!). And a few teachers believed this would be useful for their planning, so I will see which of these wikis progress over time and flag those that are continually used.
